North Carolina Poetry Society records, 1932-2003.

Records of the North Carolina Poetry Society (NCPS). Records, 1932-1980, include correspondence, constitutions and bylaws, membership lists, information on poetry contests and copies of winning poems, clippings, and other items. Records, 1986-1990, include minutes, newsletters, information on NCPS publications and awards, materials relating to the North Carolina Poet Laureate Festival, and other items. There are also files among the earlier and later records about the Poetry Council of North Carolina, an organization sponsored by NCPS and other literary groups, that holds an annual poetry contest. Additions made to the collection after 1990 include similar materials for 1958-2003.
